Starkey Mortgage has acquired a building near the Dallas North Tollway for its new headquarters. The company, which has 35 branch locations in seven states, will shift operations to 6101 W. Plano Parkway. It’s coming out of space on Park Boulevard, also in Plano.

The residential lender was represented in the deal by Steve Thelen and Stephen Holley with Jones Lang LaSalle. Michael Bowles with CASE Commercial Real Estate (formerly the John Bowles Co.) represented the seller.

Jim Clapp, president and CEO of Starkey Mortgage, said the space “provides a permanent foundation” for the company.

Thelen said that the far North Dallas area is a desirable location for financial services firms.

“The strong demographics and convenient location will allow (Starkey Mortgage) to continue to recruit and retain top talent, which was something we focused on when we began our search,” he said in a statement.
