95 percent of patients who died from COVID-19 at Parkland were unvaccinated. Hospitalized patients with COVID drops.

There are 3,985 patients with COVID-19 in North Texas, a 137 patient decrease from Friday. This represents 28.0 percent of available bed capacity, reports DFW Hospital Council CEO and president Steve Love.


New data from Parkland shows that 95 percent of those who died from COVID-19 were unvaccinated, WFAA reports. 685 people have died from COVID-19 at the hospital.


The COVID-19 pandemic has given University of Texas at Arlington students new interest in public health program. In the past two years there was a 40% increase of enrollment in UTA’s public health program which launched 2017. Students learn how to handle Covid-19 misinformation, public health communication skills and more here.


University of North Texas students push for more virtual learning options as Omicron cases surge in Dallas area, the Denton Record-Chronicle reports. Virtual learning is not an option for all classes, and must request approval from administration. Nearby schools UT Arlington and UT Dallas have chosen to hold classes online for the first two weeks.
