Texas Expert Says Pfizer Vaccine Should Be Available To Kids Soon, KERA reports. Dr. Peter Hotez with Houston’s Baylor College of Medicine says Pfizer is seeking FDA emergency authorization for children ages five to 11. The release can be expected around October for emergency use.

Johnson & Johnson Says Booster Shot is 94% Effective, KERA reports. The one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine is 66% protective against moderate and severe disease overall worldwide. A booster shot six months after the first dose provided a 12-fold increase in antibodies.
