Texas Health Resources is now No. 7 on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list after being ranked No. 15 last year. The health system is the top employer in the state and the top ranked health system in the nation. Texas Health has made the list seven years in a row, and is the ranking is decided based on employee feedback surveys.
Medical City Plano earned a Level IV Maternal Designation, the highest level of care designated by the Texas Department of State Health Services. This designation means the hospital provides comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum patients with a wide range of risk and includes medical subspecialists, surgical specialists and behavioral health support.
Vizient, Inc. has acquired group purchasing organization company Intalere from its parent company Intermountain Healthcare with the goal of strengthening Vizient’s ability to serve the healthcare supply chain. The acquisition includes advanced data, analytics and supply chain resources to improve quality and efficiency.
Prism Health North Texas was awarded $10,000 for emergency housing and rent assistance as part of the North Texas Cares Grant through the Communities Foundation of North Texas. The funds will be used to provide rental assistance for patients and help previously homeless patients with emergency housing.
Caris Life Sciences has added the Istituto Nazionale Tumori IRCCS “Fondazione G. Pascale” to its Precision Oncology Alliance, which is now a group of 49 cancer centers and academic institutions that collaborate to advance comprehensive cancer profiling. The Pascale Foundation is the largest clinical care and research cancer center in southern Italy.
