A Dallas woman in her 30s died as COVID-19 cases increase significantly in people 18-22 across the county.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 287 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with two from previous months. There were two confirmed deaths, including a woman in her 30s. Jenkins said that college-aged individuals have seen notable increases in positive cases over the past week.


Tarrant County saw 360 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday with five deaths of individuals in their 50s through 90s, WFAA reported.


Over 15,600 Texans have died since the beginning of the pandemic. This 100 person increase comes just days after the bleak 15,500 person milestone, The Texas Tribune reported.


North Texas health experts are finding new ways to apply existing drugs to COVID-19 relief. The study specifically looks at treating blood-clotting issues that have been found in severe COVID-19 patients, KERA reported.
