Dallas County has 641 new cases of COVID-19 and 13 deaths related to the disease, according to Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins. The number of a new cases is a significant jump from yesterday’s lower total, but the county is still trending down from the peak in July.
The rate of positive tests for COVID-19 has never been higher in the state of Texas, which has accompanied a reduction in the number of tests being given. Governor Greg Abbott says the state is investigating the trend and is hoping to increase testing, The Texas Tribune reports.
