As of Thursday, March 19, Dallas County has 20 new COVID-19 cases, and its first death. NBC DFW5 shared reports from the county, as Tarrant county adds ten new cases.

Beginning Wednesday, March 19, Dallas County has limited the size of gatherings even further, to less than 10 people, and has also suspended evictions for renters. The social limit is being applied to “recreational gatherings.”

According to the Dallas Morning News, Dallas is practicing mitigation as its next step in preventing the spread of coronavirus. This phase is in place “to protect our health care system so we don’t get overrun.”

With at least seven confirmed COVID-19 cases in Frisco, the city continued to allow businesses to operate until the Governor shut down all restaurants, bars, and gyms on Thursday.
