Speaking of Starbucks, the girls in the office did a little tasting this morning of all the (STARBUCKS)RED EXCLUSIVE drinks. And, for the most part, I think we were all pleased with our choices. I had the Peppermint Mocha Twist, and it tasted exactly like it sounds: minty and mocha-y. Most important, that was more than two hours ago, and I’m still riding high on the caffeine dosage. The other flavors, Gingersnap Latte and Espresso Truffle, got good reviews, too. From what I hear, the ginger taste is strong in the Gingersnap Latte, and the Espresso Truffle is super-chocolatey. (It smelled just like hot chocolate.) All the drinks are really sweet, which is not generally my first choice for morning coffee, but my Peppermint Mocha Twist, for example, could be a nice holiday-time treat. Unless you’re Katie and you don’t like coffee or peppermint or chocolate. It’s okay if you’re having a hard time processing that statement. I don’t understand her either.
