Texas’ Leading Female Bartenders Shake Up Drinks for Charity

The all-female bartending competition is embarking on its fourth national tour.

Speed Rack, an all-female bartending competition, is embarking on its fourth national tour, and making its first-ever stop in Dallas this Wednesday, January 14. 21 bartenders from the region will shake up cocktails (from a list of 50 accepted industry-standard classic recipes) and compete for the title of “Miss Speed Rack Dallas.”

Judges for the event include Chad Solomon (owner of Midnight Rambler), Chris Bostick (owner of Half Step Austin), Alba Huerta (owner and head bartender Julep Houston), and Matt McCallister (executive chef and owner of FT33).

The bartender lineup features:

The event starts at 6 p.m. and takes place at the Life in Deep Ellum Cultural Center. Tickets cost $20 in advance, and $25 at the door. Proceeds go to various breast cancer charities.
