  • Another Monday ode to coffee. This is really brilliant. Another Kickstarter campaign for a product called Invergo has caught my eye. I love pour-over coffee, but on rushed mornings, standing there with hot water doesn’t always cut it. This guy has made the first automated pour-over coffee maker. He designed what he calls a ‘hypotrochoid saturation pattern’ so that all the grounds are evenly brewed, touch-free. Watch his video and see his campaign here.
  • Something about this freaks me out a little bit. Reebok made bacon. Yes, Reebok the sportswear company. They packed the bacon in dry ice and sent it out to CrossFit athletes. There is also a Reebok Bacon Box food truck that will be at the CrossFit Games serving items like bacon-wrapped artichoke, bacon-wrapped seasoned pork belly, and bacon-wrapped carne asada and pepperoncini. See for yourself on FastCo.

  • Ramen!! Ramen Hakata opened today in Addison. The menu still isn’t up on the website yet, but you can find a little information about them there.
  • Food52 has a new column with ideas on how to use surpluses of produce, like zucchini and radishes. I have a stockpile of Central Market zucchini to use asap, and that zucchini tian looks amazing.
