Screen Door Debuts Squeals on Wheels Food Cart

Chef David McMillan and Screen Door are hitting the streets with their new outdoor food cart, Squeals on Wheels. Expect pulled pork sandwiches, chopped brisket sandwiches, hot dogs, gumbo, and more (see below). Currently Squeals on Wheels is located in front of Screen Door in the Plaza (1722 Routh Street), although future plans include expanding its reach as a mobile food cart throughout the District.

Available Monday through Friday from 11:30a.m until 2:30 p.m., the “Squeals on Wheels” menu includes:

Pulled Pork BBQ & Citrus Slaw Sandwiches ($5)

Chopped Brisket & Pickle Sandwiches ($5)

Hot Links ($4)

All Beef Hot Dogs ($3)

New Orleans Style Gumbo ($5/cup)

Cookies & Brownies ($2)

Chips ($2) and Drinks ($1)

Guests can take away or stay and dine on Screen Door’s Routh Street patio.  Cash only is accepted.
