Just got the announcement from the French-American Chamber of Commerce about this year’s annual Beaujolais Festival.  We all love the celebration of one of the juiciest wines poured liberally and paired with tasty bites from some of our favorite local chefs.  This year looks like it will not disappoint, with a special Texas twist.

Welcome back, Beaujolais, Bordeaux and Texas. Bienvenue Burgundy and Rhone Valley. As wine lovers around the globe crack open the first bottles of the 2010 Beaujolais, Dallas will revel in the country’s biggest Beaujolais Wine Festival.

Themed French with a Texas Twang, the 2010 festival will be held at the Word Trade Center on Friday, November 19. Organized by the French-American Chamber of Commerce of Dallas/Fort Worth, the festival is expected to draw more than 2,000 people.

Guests will not only taste wines from the Beaujolais region, the event’s signature Sommelier Sponsor, Goody Goody Wine & Spirits, will also have Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhone Valley and Texas vintages to savor. In addition, all festival sponsors and their guests will be easy (and difficult!) to spot because they’ll be wearing traditional French masks.

Attendees will also please their palates with selections from some of the top restaurants and gourmet food providers in the Metroplex, such as: Cadot Restaurant, Capriccio Ristorante, Eddie Deen, Empire Baking Co, Hotel St. Germain, la Madeleine, Lavendou Bistro Provençal, Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, Mozzarella Company, Paciugo Gelato, Parigi, Salum Restaurant, Sambuca Uptown, Scardello Artisan Cheese, Y.O. Ranch Steakhouse, Conti Gourmet Coffee, Delice Chocolatier Selection, and more.

“Everyone is encouraged to wear a mask of their choice just to add to the fun,” he added.  Additional details here.
