hend_ext_sketch2Buzz about Park, the new Donald Chick/Marc Cassel venture on Henderson Avenue, has been building for a while now, and word comes that it will open later this month. Mums the word on the menu so far, but if Cassel is involved we are excited to try it. The vibe is 1960’s and there will be five rooms, including two Bocce ball courts (the restaurant was designed by modernist Breck Woolsey). Jump for the press release.

Update: Here’s what it will look like.

PARK, a new restaurant, bar, garden patio and lounge is set to open this month on bustling Henderson Avenue. Named after the abundance of native landscaping throughout the space and the idea of providing a neighborhood gathering spot, PARK is a funky yet beautiful indoor and outdoor restaurant with a 1960’s design aesthetic and a fresh, eclectic menu from Dallas chef Marc Cassel.

The 7,500 square foot space includes five distinct rooms: the Garden, The bar, the dining Room, Cocktail Lounge and the Bocce Bar with two full-size Bocce-Ball courts.  Although each room has its own distinct design and feel, they are seamlessly connected to allow guests to casually transition from one room to another. The multi-faceted and eclectic experience of PARK will establish a new dimension of Dallas night life.

“Guests will experience what I like to call collision cuisine,” states PARK’s Executive Chef and Partner Marc Cassel.  “I thrive on creating menu items that are fun, entertaining, interesting and above all else, ones that are meant to please both the traditional diner and the experimental.”

PARK is the product of a team of Dallasites consisting of entrepreneur Donald Chick, Chef Marc Cassel, designer Breck Woolsey and landscape specialist Jason Pautz.

PARK will be located at 1921 Henderson Avenue.  For more information, please visit www.parkhenderson.com.
