See Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle in First Trailer For Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper

Looks like Oscar bait.

Pretty solid ad for the film about the life of Navy SEAL sniper (the deadliest sniper in American military history) Chris Kyle, whom you’ll no doubt remember from such stories as Michael J. Mooney’s in the April 2013 issue of D Magazine, as well as Kyle’s own questionable claim about shooting two guys at a gas station south of Dallas. Oh, and for having recently, and posthumously, lost a defamation suit over having told a story of punching Jesse Ventura in a bar.

The movie is directed by Clint Eastwood, stars Bradley Cooper, and is set for release on Christmas Day — an obvious signal that they expect they have Oscar bait on their hands. Which they probably do.
