George Rodrigue Brings Bad Luck to Rangers. The managing editor of the Morning News attended last night’s stonkering of the Rangers. The Indians came to Texas with the worst road record in the majors, and then Rodrigue watched as Lonnie Chisenhall managed nine RBIs and three home runs in a five-hit game that put the Rangers on the wrong end of a 17-7 score. Thanks a lot, Rodrigue.

Keller School Board Trustee Apologizes for Anti-Muslim Comment — But Not Really. Lynn Haussmann, you’ll recall, posted on Facebook: “Do you realize because so few voters took the time and responsibility to vote in the municipal election, you now have a Muslim on [Southlake] city council? What a shame!” Last night, her colleagues voted to censure her, and Haussmann said, “I truly apologize for what was said. I’ll do everything I can to regain your trust.” What was said. Not what she said. I hate to be negative, and I mean no disrespect, but here’s my expert translation of Haussmann’s true apology: “[middle finger, accompanied by raspberry, followed by Zac Crain pantomime wanking GIF]” Oh, and also: I wasn’t being sincere when I said I hated to be negative and that I meant no disrespect.

We Might Learn Today If Dallas Will Get 2024 Olympics. Maybe. Maybe not.
