Outlet Malls of America. Intersection of Loop 820 West and Rufe Snow Drive in far Northeast Fort Worth. 281-7283. About 50 stores that offer clothing and household items at discount prices. Anchor store is J. Brannam’s.
Hulen Mall. Intersection of South Hulen Street and Loop 820 South. 294-1200. There are 91 specialty shops, including Sanger Harris and Montgomery Ward.
Ridgmar Mall. At the intersection of Interstate 30 West and Green Oaks Road. 731-0856. The largest mall in Fort Worth with 135 specialty shops. Stripling Cox, Neiman-Marcus, Sears, JCPenney and Dil-lard’s are anchor stores.
Seminary South. Intersection of 1-35 W and Seminary Drive. 927-8459. Contains 57 shops and Sears, JCPenney, Dillard’s and Stripling Cox.
Tandy Center Mall. One Tandy Center, at Taylor between Weatherford and 3rd streets in downtown Fort Worth. 390-3780. Built five years ago, Tandy Center was an attempt to revitalize downtown shopping. Tandy has 31 shops, with Dillard’s as an anchor, an ice-skating rink, 11 restaurants, the Plaza de Artes boutiques and a privately owned, ultra-modern subway that runs between a large river-front parking area and the center.
Sundance Square. On Main Street between 2nd and 3rd streets in downtown Fort Worth. 390-8700. A restoration project of 12 turn-of-the-century buildings, with specialty shops, boutiques, galleries and restaurants.
MALLS?ARLINGTON
Lincoln Square. Corner of North Collins and I-30. 265-9412. New center less than a year old with more than 50 stores, including Stripling Cox, Lester Melnick, The Container Store and TGI Friday’s restaurant.
Six Flags Mall. Intersection of Highways 80 and 360. 640-1641. Includes 90 stores; anchors include Sears, JCPenney and Sanger Harris. Opened in 1970.
MALLS?HURST-EULESS-BEDFORD
North East Mall. Intersection of Loop 820 and Highway 121 in Hurst. 284-3427. Built in 1971, the center has 100 shops including Sears, JCPenney, Montgomery Ward, Dillard’s and Stripling Cox.
North Hills Mall. Intersection of Loop 820 West and Grapevine Highway in North Richland Hills. 589-2236. Stripling Cox and Sanger Harris are the anchor stores.
AUCTIONS, FLEA MARKETS
The Antique Center. 7429 E. Lancaster, Fort Worth. 429-2084. Located in the old King Candy factory, the center brings together more than 65 shops featuring antiques, collectibles, appraisers, furniture and doll restorers. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Trader’s Village. Mayfield Road and Highway 360, Grand Prairie. A 106-acre complex featuring “The Disneyland of Flea Markets,” with more than 1,400 dealers every Saturday and Sunday year-round. Special events are held during the year, including an Indian powwow, a rodeo, Octo-berfest and a chili cookoff.
