What was once a “strong chance” has become much stronger. The man-made ski resort has a big announcement about a new location, concept, and name. As for the location, “Bearfire Resorts, LLC executives feel they have found an ideal location in a large piece of property situated midway between the Dallas and Fort Worth airports.” (Between the airports? Really?) As for the concept, there will be 650,000 square feet of skiable slopes in addition to a hotel, convention center, and spa. And I’m glad to see someone took my recommendation for a name change to heart: The Coolzone Winterplex will now be known as Bearfire Resort. (Much better.)
