TAN PARKER’S “MIGHTY TEXAS STRIKE FORCE”

|

In the current issue of Rolling Stone Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wonders if the 2004 election was stolen. He writes of a group of GOP volunteers who called themselves the “Mighty Texas Strike Force,” and made, a day before the election, “intimidating calls to likely voters” in Columbus, Ohio.

The weekly newspaper The News Connection, which serves Denton County, says on its blog that State Representative Tan Parker was a member of the mighty strike force. “So, laying it all on the table, RFK is accusing our new State Rep of being part of a cabal that helped steal the last election,” the Connection’s Stephen Webster writes.

Developing.

Update: A FBvian who cannot speak for Parker, but who worked for the Mighty Texas Strike Force in 2000 says:

At no time was there ever any mention of duties involving intimidation, bribery, fear, ballot destruction, or any of the other plastic darts that Kennedy continues to lob. Everything was on the up and up.
