Yes, it’s true: our feisty food editor with the light amber locks can put restaurants out of business – with her praise! Recently, a series of new or emerging eateries that got rave reviews from Ms. Nichols lost their star chef or closed their doors shortly after her stories appeared. Is Nancy the new Sports Illustrated cover jinx? One burger-loving FBer’s take:

“With Nancy’s record lately on her positive restaurant reviews, I’d think Burger House patrons would be happy that it won’t suffer the ‘Curse of Nancy’ and have it a) go out of business, or b) lose its star chef or fry cook to some other local diner.”
