It was odd to get up this morning and turn down the air conditioner before I went out to fill my bird feeders. Usually by now, I’m in my Orvis jammies and readying for goldfinches. Last year the first goldfinches arrived at my feeders on November 10th so today I filled my yellow tubes with fresh thistle in anticipation of their arrival. This winter could be interesting for Dallas as millions of birds, who normally head to feeders along the Gulf Coast, look elsewhere for winter seeds. I’m ready. Are you?
