A HEARSAY RECAP OF CATTLE BARON’S BALL

|

From the few accounts I’ve heard, the ball was pretty fun. And, for a few gracious donors, expensive. During the live auction, someone bought a boat for about $70,000. Someone else bought a Mercedes for nearly $100,000. One gentleman paid $10,000 for entertainer Toby Keith to serenade his date on stage. But here’s the thing: I don’t know much about Mr. “Boot in Their Ass,” but I know he doesn’t have a lot of ballads that are serenade-y. He sang “What About Me,” a song about a selfish girlfriend. Then, when another gentleman paid $10,000 for a not-so-private serenade, Keith sang “How Ya Like Me Now,” about a stuck-up girl from high school. Not exactly worth ten grand, if you ask me.
