How to Work Out for Free in Dallas This Week

May your spirits be light, and your wallet stay heavy.

We’ve all been there. Your friend sends you a flyer for some cool fitness class she wants to try this weekend. It usually features eye-catching artwork (there’s almost always some girl pulling off a strappy, hot pink bra) and the promise of a trendy, high-energy workout before brunch. You’re all in. But then you see it: the price tag.

Listen, you’re not stingy, but you do start to calculate the amount of Taverna omelets you could get for the price of this potentially grueling 45-minute activity—in-house DJ or not. You ponder suggesting a brisk (free) walk on the Katy Trail instead, but you end up registering anyway, in the name of fitness and friendship. You’re a good person.

This week, save the money for the mimosas, and get in some endorphin-inducing quality friend time with these cool, local—and most importantly, free—classes. DJ often included.

Sunset CorePower Yoga at NorthPark With Dallas Fitness Ambassadors // Wednesday, 6:30pm

Yes, this is a wonderful opportunity to do some yoga against the beautiful backdrop that is NorthPark’s CenterPark Garden at sunset, but the event also introduced us to something called a “post namaslay soiree” (which just happens to include retailers such as Sugarfina, Make Up Forever, Green House Market, DryBar, Miniluxe, and more), and for that, we’ll always be grateful.
