You love them even when you love to hate them. Yes, lists — the best this or that or some other thingamajigs — are popular among our online audience, and it’s hard to imagine there ever being a time when that won’t be the case.

Here were the most popular “best” lists on DMagazine.com during the past year:

1. “The 10 Most Beautiful Women in Dallas”
After a one-year hiatus, our salute to the city’s loveliest ladies returned in 2015. And, this time around, we chose to celebrate every woman our readers have deemed worthy of that title since 2008.

2. “The 10 Most Stylish People in Dallas”
Our style photographers, Kristi and Scot Redman, selected this group of distinctive Dallasites who carry themselves with iconoclastic flair.

3. “The 10 Best Lakes to Call Home”
Our readers continued to make use of our 2011 look at the best area bodies of water for setting up a second home.

4. “The 10 Most Beautiful Homes in Dallas”
D Home’s annual salute to the houses with the greatest curb appeal continues to inspire real estate envy.

5. “The 100 Best Restaurants in Dallas”
Published in June 2013, this definitive ranking of the top dining spots in town remains an invaluable resource. How many have you visited?

6. “The Best Brunch Spots in Dallas”
Is there any stronger evidence that ours is a brunch-centric city than the fact that this March 2012 feature continues to be a top traffic draw?

7. “The Best Steakhouses in Dallas”
You folks sure are a carnivorous bunch, aren’t you?

8. “The 20 Best Breakfasts in Dallas”
Possibly the most important story ever written about the most important meal.

9. “The Best of Big D 2015”
We picked our favorites. Our readers picked their favorites. And then, in August, we celebrated all the amazing places, people, and things we have to enjoy in this great city.

10. “The Best Barbecue in Dallas”
Smoky, juicy, rubbed just right. We’re getting hungry just glancing back over this list.
