Special Microdermabrasion at Red Door Spa

After microdermabrasion, you might look like this.

At least, that’s what Red Door’s saying about their new microdermabrasion procedure. And I must say, my skin does feel more special than usual after having it done. It’s called the Diamond and Flower Peel Microdermabrasion. Sounds fancy and smells fancy. One of three plant grains (Tea Tree, Rose, or Lavender) is used in combination with the Diamond Tip micro-particles to slough off old skin cells and help you regenerate new ones. The whole thing was so relaxing (more like a facial than a medspa treatment) and the rose smelled so good, I think I snored through a portion of the process. At this point, you probably know what microderm can do for you: stimulates new cell and collagen production, smoothes skin tone, and reduces appearance of scarring and pigmentation. But here’s the difference between the “special” Red Door version and your standard crystal microdermabrasion, according to Red Door. One, the grains are noninvasive. You won’t walk away with red skin and you can get the treatment even when you’re skin feels a little sensitive. Two, the diamond tip is better for helping infuse product into skin and smoothing the surface, rather than cutting it like crystals can do. Putting the sci-fi aspects aside, it was 60 minutes of heavenly spa time, and I walked away with prettier skin. Can’t put a price tag on that.  Well, yes you can. And it’s $185.

Never been to Red Door Spa? Here’s what we think about it.
