Welcome back to Laps of Luxury. Summer is here, and we’re spotlighting the prettiest pools in North Texas. Each week, join us to tour on-the-market properties with beautiful backyards.

Readers, the home we’re admiring today might be the largest property we’ve ever featured. 2449 Mountain View Court boasts eight bedrooms, eight full baths, and nearly 14,000 square feet of living space. The Cedar Hill property occupies four acres of land and is perched on one of the highest points for hundreds of miles. No matter where you are on the property, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of what you might call the North Texas countryside.

Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by a massive fountain and a full view of the home’s arch-adorned façade. Once inside, it’s clear that this home was made for a maximalist. Take note of the glittery chandeliers, white marble floors, dramatic archways, and custom wood ceilings. In addition to eight bedrooms, you’ll find amenities like a wine room, a home theater, a sleepover room with several sets of bunk beds, and a room that’s ideal for entertaining, complete with a wet bar and an aquarium.

When a house is this opulent, we expect a resort-worthy backyard to match. 2449 Mountain View Court certainly delivers. To start, its backyard cabana is outfitted with a full kitchen and a bathroom. The attached outdoor living space has both fans and a fireplace for comfortable entertaining in any season.

The pool, which could pass as a small pond, stretches across the backyard. It was constructed to sit on multiple levels, and each section varies in depth. There are two grottos with cascading waterfalls, as well as fountains spouting arcs of water. A sunken fire pit illuminates the pool’s surface, while smaller fire features line the perimeter. A spa is perched on the pool’s upper level; from here, you can see the entire valley below. Finally, a bright blue waterslide rounds out the backyard oasis.
