It grew up in the ’80s. It changes color according to the occasion—green for St. Paddy’s, purple for Prince. It’s familiar enough, with the distinctive ball of Reunion Tower, that the Mavericks put it on the front of a truly terrible jersey, and it was voted best in the world by USA Today readers a couple years ago. While we think that title might be a bit of a stretch, seeing the Dallas skyline out of an airplane window means home. And that’s why we love it.
