The new face of Anne Klein is familiar to anyone
who’s followed the on-and-off career of Bridget Hall. Only 25, she’s
already hit it big, faded away, and had a comeback, recently landing a
two-year, seven-figure exclusive contract with the company.
When Hall was
only 10 years old, her pouty lips and perfect profile caught the eye of
the Kim Dawson modeling agency, and she quickly found work. “My first
client was Dillards,” she says from her agency in New York. “Being in
front of the camera was embarrassing and uncomfortable, but I got used
to it.”
That’s an
understatement. She was so successful that she dropped out of R.L.
Turner High School in the ninth grade to live and work in Paris for a
year. The 5-foot-10-inch model graced the covers of major fashion
magazines as a teenager in the mid-’90s. But then the industry seemed
to tire of her All-American looks.
Two years ago,
Hall chopped her long locks and scored a contract with Fendi. The
recent Klein campaign premieres in a two-page gatefold in this month’s
issue of Vogue and will also run in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and W.
Although modeling
is her main career focus, it isn’t the only thing on her mind. Hall
says she would like to try acting, but before she tackles the big
screen, she may want to practice on the small screen. While appearing
on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire: Model’s Edition, she was given the standard a, b, c, and d choices. She went with “e.”
