In an endless sea of Dallas charities, Vicki Chapman stands out as one of the most dedicated and successful ball chairmen in Cattle Baron’s history. After a year of intense preparation, the result is one of the most profitable and truly unique Cattle Baron’s events ever.
A team effort brought the world premiere re-release of the movie Giant to Dallas, but it took Vicki Chapman’s enthusiasm and creativity to provide the first spark. The outcome is an astounding and unprecedented fund-raising milestone, and as Vicki points out, “raising money for cancer research is the name of the game.”
“My greatest reward,” she adds, “has been the opportunity to work with 80 of the finest, most dedicated women in Dallas, sharing one common goal – raising a substantial amount of dollars for the American Cancer Society research projects.”
Vicki plans to continue the long-standing tradition of the Cattle Baron’s Ball while positioning the organization for the future through innovative fundraising efforts. “Over 1.2 million new cancer cases will be diagnosed this year,” Vicki points out. “Cancer does not discriminate…it touches each of us all too often. Research is the key to finding a cure.”
With the generosity of donors, the support of the Dallas community, and the dedication of the Cattle Baron’s members, finding a cure for cancer is more than just a dream.
