RETURN WITH US TO YESTER-ERA…
To a time: When marriage provided social entree. When women were distinguished by their sartorial style. When the “best dressed” took to the runway like beauty pageant contestants on parade.
Return with us to the annual Neiman Marcus/Crystal Charity Ball Best Dressed Luncheon-that anachronism of modern-day Dallas. More than 20 years after Society Section publisher Janet DeSanders launched the idea, the list is the centerpiece of the annual SRO event which not only kicks off the fall social season, but raises big money {5147,000 this year) for children’s charities.
So, okay-okay!-this return to yester-era is a worthy one, even-gasp-fun.
