The Dallas Opera. This year’s season opens November 8; highlights include Prince lgor, Die Walkiire, The Tales of Hoffman, Hansel and Gretel, and Faust. All shows performed at the Music Hall in Fair Park. Tickets are $5-$75. For information and tickets call 443-1000.

Fort Worth Ballet. The season runs from October 12-May 12 and includes three world premieres by Artistic Director Paul Mejia, as well as The Nutcracker and Cinderella. Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The classical season runs from September 6-May 5, The SuperPops series runs from September 28-May IS and includes performances by Dizzy Gillespie, Carol Channing, Michael Martin Murphey and Ray Charles. Classical season ticket prices are from $42 to $588 for six to twenty-one performances. SuperPops season ticket prices range from $72-$312 for six to twelve performances. Lyric Opera of Dallas. This season’s offerings are La Boheme and The Grand Duchess. The Lyric Opera of Dallas may be found onstage at the Majestic Theatre. Ticket prices range from $5-$40. 368-2183.

Shakespeare Festival of Dallas. This is the nineteenth season for these free, outdoor performances, and the second season in the festival’s new location, at Samuell-Grand Park in East Dallas, one block north of I-30. This summer’s offering, Twelfth Night, will be presented July 10-22 at 8:15 p.m.; no performance on Mondays; blanket seating. For more information contact the festival office at 559-2778.

Dallas Summer Musicals. This year’s offerings are Chess, Peter Pan with Cathy Rigby, Mame with Juliet Prowse, and Starlight Express, The season runs from July 3-September 2. Tickets are $5-$40 and can be purchased either through Rainbow-Ticket Master, 787-2000, or the Music Hall Box Office, 691-7200.
