Candy Is Dandy but Inflation Is Quicker

It hardly seems right that we can call the 15-cent candy bar part of the “good ole days.” But it seems that’s where we are. According to all reports, Hershey’s, Milky Way, Peter Paul Mounds and all your other favorites will cost 20 cents as of January 1. And a spokesman for Cohen Candy Company, Dallas’ largest candy distributor, says some may even go to 25 cents. New candy bars, such as Twix, by the makers of Mars, are being introduced at the 20 cents. Twix, in case you are wondering, is a cross between a candy bar and a cookie (if you can imagine that).
