GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up This Week

GO TEXANWe love to eat out in Dallas, and any day of the week there are thousands of places throughout town to do so, it is part of what makes living here so fun. We also love to support our community, from local farmers, ranchers and producers to local distillers, breweries and wineries in town and throughout the state. This week the Texas Department of Agriculture has partnered with dozens of restaurants in every corner of the state to bring more awareness to some of these Texas products, while giving back to the community in a charitable way with their 6th annual GO TEXAN Restaurant Round-Up presented by Farm Credit.

In Dallas, this means 10% of every special Texas menu meal will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank, especially timely right now to help with programs providing summer meals to kids that are out of school. Participating restaurants include Chamberlain’s, Pappas Bros. Steak House, Smoke, Ruthie’s Rolling Cafe and Battuto Italian Kitchen, which has created a Texas influenced, Italian style menu complete with Texas wine and beer pairings from Lakewood Brewery, McPherson Cellars and Duchman Family Vineyards, even a few Tito’s Vodka cocktails.  Starts today and runs through Sunday.
