Why Would Mark Cuban Let AT&T Mock His Bald Spot?

Come on, son.

Mark Cuban

If you’ve been tuned in to the NCAA tourney, then no doubt you have seen the AT&T Uverse commercial starring Mark Cuban. He’s sitting around, watching basketball at home, when his doorbell rings. Cuban watches the game on his iPad as he walks to answer the door. It’s David Robinson! Back to basketball. Doorbell rings again. Cuban watches his iPad, again, en route to the door. It’s Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo! Rinse, repeat. See if you can ID the rest of the former players who show up.

Anyway, the spot ends with Cuban’s couch overrun by tall people, and he can’t see his own TV. So what does he do? He sits in an easy chair by himself, watching his iPad. But here’s the problem: positioned directly over his head is a lamp that, when Cuban is shot from behind, in the closing seconds of the commercial, advertises not the convenience and awesomeness of AT&T Uverse but instead the enormous bald spot atop Cuban’s head. Not judging. Just saying. If I were a billionaire, I would demand final cut of any and all such TV commercials in which I starred.
