When we featured the home of Dallas Flea founder Brittany Edwards Cobb in the July/August issue of D Home, one of the many things that stood out in the house was a pendant light Cobb turned into a coffee table for one of her second-floor balconies (pictured right). She also turned a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk into a table for her sun room. Since everything in my place pretty much serves the purpose it was meant for—a desk is a desk, a dining table is a dining table, and so on—I want to know what ingenious ideas you have incorporated into your home. Are you using an old side chair as a nightstand, perhaps? Or maybe a baker’s rack for a bookcase? Tell us about your clever ideas in the comments, and if you have photos, send us those, too. Maybe we’ll share them with the D Home world.
