Dallas County added 70 new COVID-19 cases and six deaths on Tuesday, according to County Judge Clay Jenkins.

The Dallas Housing Authority is now accepting applications for assistance in paying rent for those who lost jobs or income because of the pandemic, KERA reports. DHA has $18 million in federal funds to help those who need it.


The COVID-19 pandemic was at its worst along the Texas border, but now the region is leading the state in vaccinations, Texas Tribune reports. The Rio Grande valley area is 43 percent vaccinated, while the state as a whole is at 34 percent vaccinated.
