The CDC recommends a pause for the J&J vaccine after six women experienced blood clotting as a result of the vaccine.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reported 262 new positive COVID-19 cases and 21 deaths on Tuesday. 


The USDA has recommended a pause of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine after concerns of blood clotting. Six cases of blood clotting were reported in women between the ages of 18 and 48. One person died, and all of the cases remain under investigation. Dallas Morning News has more. 


Nearly 1 in 5 Texans, just a little over 14.5 million, have been vaccinated against COVID-19. In the latest report from the Texas Tribune, experts say at least 22 million Texans need to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity. 


A COVID-19 antibody cocktail called REGEN-COV is said to rapidly prevent and treat the virus according to a story from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. New results from a multi-stage clinical trial show that  REGEN-COV, a cocktail of special antibodies, can reduce risks of developing symptomatic COVID-19 by 81% if someone is not already infected with the virus.
