Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins reports 227 new positive COVID-19 cases and 12 deaths from Sunday and Monday. “Our weekly average of COVID positive cases is 257, 40 cases lower than last week’s average,” he tweeted.
The CDC now says that K-12 should maintain a distance of 3 feet, but only if everyone is wearing masks. White Texans are being vaccinated at twice the rate of Hispanic Texans and six times the rate of Black Texans, the Texas Tribune reports. Those groups have been disproportionately impacted by the virus as well.
