North Texas’ Best Workplaces for Millennials

|

Texas Health Resources and Encompass Health were both named by Fortune and Great Places to Work to the list of Best Workplaces for Millennials. Texas Health Resources was No. 23 on the list, while Encompass Health placed No. 38.

At Texas Health, the largest DFW employer to make the list, 37 percent of their 23,774 employees are millennials. The hospital system estimates that the generation will become the largest segment of employees by December. Of Encompass’ 10,705 employees, one third are millennials.

Companies on the list are meeting the needs of Millennials, who look for flexibility, meaning, and unconventional work structures in their career choices. They embrace technology and prefer to communicate digitally, something companies need to embrace if they want to court this generation.

At Encompass, a nationwide home health and hospice provider based in Dallas, 91 percent of the employees say it is a great place to work. At Texas Health, 93 percent feel the same about their employer.

“We recognize the unique viewpoint every generation brings to the table to help us grow,” said Michelle Kirby, executive vice president and Texas Health’s chief people officer via release. “We’re grateful to be represented on this list. It reflects our strong culture and each individual’s commitment to living Our Texas Health Promise.”

Rankings are based on the employee feedback via surveys with questions about being treated with respect, opportunities for development, and teamwork. Check out the full list here.
