Medical City Fort Worth Will Have a New COO

J.W. Newman will be the Chief Operating Officer of Medical City Fort Worth as of January 14. Since last January, Newman has been the Associate Chief Operating Officer at Medical City Dallas, and had the same role at Medical City Fort Worth before that.

Medical City Fort Worth is licensed for 320 beds with a variety of treatment services and is a designated comprehensive stroke center in the Texas Stroke Institute and a Joint Commission certified chest paint center.

John Corbeil, who previously served in the COO role at Medical City Fort Worth, was promoted to be CEO of Kingwood Medical Center outside Houston, which is another HCA-owned hospital.

Newman worked to improve employee engagement scores at Medical City Dallas and led $65 million capital improvement projects.

“I am excited to have J.W. back in Fort Worth,” said Jyric Sims, CEO, via statement. “J.W. is a strong leader who understands our market and culture and who values external and internal stakeholder relationships.”
