Presbyterian Communities and Services, a faith-based nonprofit senior care provider, has named a new president after a year of searching.
Tim Mallad, a longtime senior care executive, will take over, leaving Irving’s Greystone Communities where he served as a vice president. He will oversee a small continuing care system that provides services for more than 1,200 individuals at three campuses: Presbyterian Village North, Grace Presbyterian Village, and Faith Presbyterian Hospice. He takes the reins as Village North undergoes a major expansion and construction wraps up at the T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center. He’ll begin immediately and spend his first 90 days getting up to speed in the system’s operations.
The board of directors launched a national search about a year ago.
“The members of the board of directors and I are very confident that Tim is an excellent addition to the leadership team,” read a statement from Ron Gafford, vice chairman of the board of directors of Presbyterian Communities and Services. “The board is pleased with the rigorous process the search committee underwent and is extraordinarily pleased with the results.”
