If You Care About the Movie Blue Crush, Attend This Dallas Fitness Event

Last weekend, I went to Los Angeles to escape the Dallas heat and demanded that we visit Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR (“Sexy Unique Restaurant”) in West Hollywood because that’s just the kind of person that I am. Once there, I dragged my obliging dinner partner to the back of the restaurant (which was pretty sexy in case you were wondering!) to order a drink. What was playing on the screen above the bar? Vanderpump Rules, the Bravo reality show about this restaurant led by a reality star from Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills who owns the restaurant. Synergy, you guys.

You know what else is combining forces for fabulous effect? Deep Ellum lifestyle boutique Jade & Clover and City Surf Fitness. This Sunday, the two are hosting a surf-inspired circuit training class, but this isn’t just any surf-inspired circuit training class. This surf-inspired class will be followed by one of the most important movies of my adolescence, Blue Crush, a surf movie headed by a very ripped, tan, and aspirational Kate Bosworth. (Never forget!)

Hopefully this event kicks off a trend. Ballet-inspired classes could be followed by Center Stage. Rowing classes might end with a House of Cards screening, or that one scene from The Social Network. A Beyonce-themed workout could be accompanied by a viewing (and hopefully a deep analysis of) Lemonade. The possibilities are endless!

Anyway, the event is $10. Bring water.
