Leading Off (10/30/23)

It's All Hallows Eve Eve.

Cowboys Win. The first few plays of the opening drive made it seem like the Cowboys—and specifically QB Dak Prescott—were going to be in hell all afternoon against the Rams pass rush. But they got it together and scored a touchdown on that drive, the defense and special teams took over for a bit, and it was basically over by the half. Let’s hope that number at the top shrinks tomorrow. First pitch is at 7:03. Max Scherzer will take the hill at Chase Field.

Freeze Watch. We had a year’s worth of weather last week, so it makes perfect sense that we will have progressed to a freeze watch for Halloween. I, for one, am welcoming all this with wide open arms. This outerwear is not going to wear itself.
