Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne to Fly With the Red Bull Air Force on Thursday

|

The city of Irving has been having a bit of losing streak. In recent months, both the Byron Nelson golf tournament and the Dallas Cowboys have announced plans to flee the city. Some lay the blame at the feet of Mayor Beth Van Duyne.

So Van Duyne’s taking a play out of the old George W. playbook. Today’s press release:

Mayor Van Duyne and the Red Bull Air Force are touching down on September 5th and you’re invited to watch her soar into town from 10,000 feet above at the Irving Convention Center as she proclaims September 21st as official National Red Bull Flugtag Day for the City of Irving.

Will she hang a “Mission Accomplished” banner? And what’s a Flugtag, you ask? This is Flugtag.
