More Proof That Dallas Is Going Bats For Josh Hamilton

Rangers bats fetch hefty pricesThey’re hawking Hamilton’s game-day bats for $400 a crack at the Texas Rangers retail shop at 2222 McKinney St., in Uptown. Store manager Chris LeBlanc (pictured) says the store is selling out of them as fast as they get them. The bat pictured here was used by third baseman Hank Blalock and it goes for $150. Opening bids for my used Double Gulp cup start at $1.29. Bidders must provide proof of drinkholder size.

Wait, that’s an actual store? And people buy stuff there?

I always thought it was supposed to be an ironic kitschy joke, much like the center it is located in. Now I feel sad.
