A libel suit, one now scheduled for trial in February. The Morning News ran a story in 2004 saying two Juarez newspapers chose to protect the city’s image rather than publish the truth about the violent killings of some 300 women in the last decade. The Associated Press doesn’t list damages, but, given the mood, the suit is probably damage enough at the DMN.
