Here’s another perspective on the Wingfield’s controversy. I work at a school at Kiest and I-35 and have been to Wingfields several times before the article. I have never had anything but polite, courteous service. For the record, I’m white. I’ve seen other white people in there as well and none of them were talked down to. But respect flows both ways, and if you aren’t respecting the people behind the counter, then why should they respect you? My guess is that those that weren’t getting the respect weren’t giving it. Just my 2 cents.
