–During Bramblett’s speech, Wick’s cellphone rang. Audibly. To the point where everyone could hear it.
–George P. was seated next to Mike Moses, who seemed to be whipping the president’s nephew like there was no tomorrow. Moses was just talking and talking. But P.’s body language–looking at his food, nodding, not offering much in the way of verbal response–indicated that he wished he’d been seated elsewhere.
–Tom Dunning revealed that he used to share an apartment with Bramblett, in the Spanish Steppes. I used to live at Spanish Trace, part of the same complex. I did not live with Dunning and Bramblett.
–What I learned, straight from Bramblett’s mouth: “If you ever need someone to send out a letter for you or co-sign a note, Jerry [Ford] is the guy to go see.”
