RE: DALE HANSEN

|

Helen Bryant, former society scribe for the Herald and the News, sent word from Austin that FrontBurner made her miss those Hansen parties. I asked her to dig up some salacious memories. Her reply:

Memory … Hansen party … not really compatible. I do remember writing about one of the parties and running a shot of Dale and his pot-bellied pig, identifying “Dale Hansen, left …” That went over really well at the Times Herald. Wouldn’t have played at the News. The Keller parties apparently weren’t as vast as the new ones. But Jimmy Johnson and Troy used to go to them. And, of course, Joe Avezzano sang. And Jim Dent wasn’t in prison yet. No pizza, though. And I don’t remember anyone hanging on Chuck Cooperstein.
