In less than a month, the Dallas Chocolate Festival will descend on downtown’s F.I.G. building in all its chocolate-fountain heady, bean-to-bar nerdy, Madagascar single-origin-loving glory.

It’s not quite time. But tomorrow is the festival’s 10th anniversary dinner at the Fairmont Hotel, featuring dishes that incorporate chocolate from bean-to-bar masters, with things like cocoa-crusted venison with fennel cream and a black currant and dark chocolate jus. Figures from Dandelion Chocolate, Amano, French Broad, and Five Mile Chocolate will be in attendance.

Tickets are $150.

A few things to look forward to at the festival:

Dallas Chocolate Festival Workshops
This year, the festival will be offering six interactive workshops allowing chocolate fans to dive deeper into their passion. Students can learn to make chocolate from bean-to-bar with industry experts, discover the history of chocolate through a guided tasting, and enjoy a chocolate pairing class featuring whiskey, wine, port, or beer. The workshops will be held at various times on Saturday and Sunday at F.I.G. and are available for an additional fee.

Dallas Chocolate Festival VIP Party
Friday, September 6, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
Fashion Industry Gallery (F.I.G.)
Tickets are $75 for 21+ only. Valet parking included.

Friday night’s VIP Party will be a fairy tale come true! VIP Party guests will have the first opportunity to explore, sample, and shop over 60 exhibitors, from chocolates and treats to cocktails and sweets. Light bites and adult beverages provided, and a spectacular chocolate fountain will flow. Guests will also receive a memorable gift bag. Tickets are limited.

Dallas Chocolate Festival Main Event
Saturday and Sunday, September  7 and 8 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Fashion Industry Gallery (F.I.G.)
Tickets are $35 for adults, $7 children 4 to 11, free for children 3 and under.
Valet is available for $10. Ross Tower Garage Parking Lot is available for $5.

The ultimate chocolate wonderland weekend awaits. Adults and children alike will be immersed in a chocolate paradise filled with spellbinding aromas, visual artistry, and mouthwatering flavors of the finest chocolates. In addition to everyone’s favorite part of the Festival–the tastings from over 60 exhibitors–guests can learn every element of chocolate making. The weekend includes demonstrations and discussions from chefs and chocolate makers, lectures from industry experts, a kids’ area, food trucks, and more. Hands-on workshops, including guided tastings and chocolate-making classes, will also be available for an additional fee.
