Today, while sitting at my desk and eating an Epic chicken bar, I scrolled past a post on Twitter (follow me!) about a smoothie. I clicked on the link and ended up on Vogue‘s site.
The smoothie looked so refreshing . I wanted it right then and there, at that exact moment. Seriously. Give it to me. Like, no offense to my meat bar, but I really wanted to pour the rich and avocado-y beverage into my mouth. While I do keep a Magic Bullet at my desk, I do not keep a supply of dates, blueberries, and hemp seeds on hand. And there were no avocados in the office fruit basket this week. So the smoothie couldn’t happen.
What did happen is that I ended up poking around the internet looking at smoothie photos and recipes. And then, I somehow landed on a story about how Disney is remaking Home Alone. And then I felt sad and a little sick to my stomach because Home Alone is a perfect movie and doesn’t deserve to be messed with. Seriously. I feel like John Hughes (God rest his soul) would be pissed. And then I got back to looking at smoothies. And then transitioned over to looking at smoothie bowls. They’re so pretty. And now here we are. With a beautiful Instagram roundup of some of the best smoothie bowls in Dallas.
Enjoy.
